Visitation Information: Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury.
Service Information: Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with burial to follow in the Fitzgerald Cemetery near Bynumville with full military honors.
Contributions: In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Fitzgerald Cemetery of the Kansas City Hospice House.


Arthur Dean Craig, 78, of Blue Springs, MO, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017 at the Kansas City Hospice House.  

He was born August 20, 1938 in What Cheer, IA, a son of Arthur Edgar and Ella Irene (Schlaser) Craig.  On August 21, 1960 at the Salisbury Christian Church he married Patsy Ann Bartholomew who preceded him in death on August 18, 2016.  

Dean was a member of the Salisbury United Methodist Church, a graduate from Salisbury High School, Class of 1955 and served in the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1960.  He worked six years with Campbell’s 66 Express as a truck driver, pickup and delivery and a dock worker.  Dean also worked 39 years with Yellow Freight System.  

Survivors include one daughter, Melody Beth (Dudley David) Brooks of Lee’s Summit, MO; a granddaughter, Megan Ashley Brooks; two sisters, Florence Hill, Kay Quinn and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to both of his parents and his wife he was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl, Leonard and Duane “Mud” Craig; one sister, Dorothy Fitzgerald.
