Service Information: Graveside services are 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 1, 2017 at Eastlawn Memory Garden.

Eva Mae Gabbert, 86, of Salisbury, MO, died Monday, August 28, 2017 at Moberly Regional Medical Center.  Eva was born March 14, 1931 in Keytesville, MO the daughter of Robert E. and Ruth (Billue) Cox.  She married Jimmie Lee Gabbert on March 15, 1957 in Armstrong, MO and he preceded her in death on September 13, 1990.

Eva worked as a seamstress for the Biltwell Clothing Factory for several years, then for Laura Ann Clothing shop before becoming co-owner of Gabbert Service station for 12 years.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church, active in the Salisbury Community Betterment Association, and volunteered at the Salisbury Senior Center.  She enjoyed having coffee with friends in the morning and playing cards.


Eva is survived by a daughter Donna Sires (Bevie) of Armstrong, MO, a brother James Cox (Charlotte) of Garnett, KS, four sister- in- laws Lucille Cox of Jefferson City, MO, Sharon Gabbert of Slater, Jean Gabbert of Moberly, MO, Bonnie Bloss of Kansas City, MO, several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers Sullivan, Theodore, Gilbert, Calvin and three at infancy and three sisters Edna Bennett, Lillian Drew, Betty Schnetzler.
