Biography:

Cynthia Sue Prewitt , 70, of Keytesville, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at University Hospital in Columbia, MO. She was born in Huntington, West Virginia on July 7, 1947 a daughter of Ralph and Mary (Porter) Prewitt.

 

Sue  was a graduate of Keytesville High School, Class of 1965, and received her Associates of Arts Degree from Moberly Area Community College in 1990.  She worked as a seamstress at Biltwell Clothing Factory in Salisbury for 14 years, then the next 16 years as State Community Coordinator for Kids for over 250 kids,  substitute teacher in the Keytesville, Brunswick, and St. Joseph (Salisbury) Schools, and was the delivery driver for Red Cross Pharmacy in Salisbury.  Sue was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church.  Sue was an assistant girls basketball and softball coach at KHS, union representative for three years (ACTWU), member of the American Civil Liberties Union, served 6 years on the Keytesville City Council and Keytesville Mayor from 2001-2011.

 

Sue is survived by her brother Phillip (Nancy) Prewitt of Salisbury, MO, sisters Vada Prewitt of Keytesville, MO, Michelle Kallmeyer-Kendrick of Salisbury, MO, several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Roy Joseph Prewitt, Ralph Richard Prewitt,  sister Phyllis Prewitt, and brothers-in-law Gary Frank Kallmeyer, Sr. and Chuck Kendrick.
