Visitation Information: Visitation is 4-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 12, 2018 with vigil/rosary at 7:00 p.m. at the Summerville Funeral Home.
Service Information: Mass of Christian Burial is Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Contributions: Memorial contributions may be made to the the St. Joseph Cemetery Association or Larry's Warrior Foundation.

Biography:

Karleen Evelyn Macklin, 79, of Salisbury, MO, died Friday, June 8, 2018 at her home.  Karleen was born April 7, 1939 in Salisbury, MO the daughter of Ernest Robert and Marie (Schaeffer) Anderson.  She married Henry A. Macklin on July 6, 1969 in Salisbury, MO and he preceded her in death on August 31, 2005.

 

Karleen was a graduate of Moberly High School, Class of 1956.  She worked as a florist for Tedford's Floral in Moberly until she retired in 1992.  Karleen was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Salisbury, MO.  She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports, Missouri Basketball, cross stitching, word puzzles and visiting with friends.

 

Karleen is survived by 4 daughters Dawn (Ron) Gulick of Sedalia, MO, Lida (Jeff) Gochenour of Boonville, MO, Sharon (Donald) Bixenman of Salisbury, MO, Erin (Joe) Cruse of Salisbury, MO, six grandchildren Madison Lenz, Clayton Gochenour, Cole Cruse, Mariah Cruse, Zane Bixenman, and Mariska Bixenman, three nephews Ernie Anderson, Eugene Anderson, and Kent Anderson and great nephew Michael Anderson.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Randy Eugene Newton in 1984, daughter Kathryn Sue Macklin on 8/4/1993, brothers John Anderson, David Anderson, and sister Kathryn Scott.
