Service Information: Mass of Christian Burial is Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Salisbury with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Biography:

Wilfred Henke, 88, of Salisbury, Missouri, died Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at his home.  Wilfred was born March 30, 1930 in Salisbury, MO the son of Henry and Anna (Wienhaus) Henke, Jr.  He married Jean Nanneman on June 15, 1954 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Salisbury.

 

Wilfred served in the U.S Army.  He was a cattle farmer, and a lifetime member of the American Angus Association.  Wilfred was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church.  He enjoyed gardening and coon hunting, and loved spending time with his family.

 

Wilfred is survived by his wife Jean, daughters Janice (Ron) Lockard of Salisbury, Debbie Nolke of Columbia, MO, Evelyn (Jerry) Springer of Salisbury, sons Larry (Debbie) Henke, Mark (Molly) Henke, Danny Henke, all of Salisbury, Darrell (Joyce) Henke of New Madrid, MO, Delbert (Janet) Henke of Wardsville, MO, Mike (Janice) Henke of Holden, MO, Brian (Cynthia) Henke of Marshall, MO, brother Fred (Pat) Henke of Salisbury, sister Lorene Meissen of Salisbury, MO, Norma Lou (Bob) Linneman of Salisbury, MO 34 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, sister in law Helen Henke of Fayette, MO, Gertrude Henke of Salisbury, MO and Sister Bernilda Nanneman of Atchinson, KS, over 100 nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Leonard Henke, Marvin Henke, Harold Henke, sister Bernilda Fessler, and son in law Rod Nolke.
