Visitation Information: Visitation begins at 8:30am on Wednesday February 20 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Service Information: Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10:30am Wednesday Feb. 20 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Father Mike Murphy officiating. Luncheon served at Knights of Columbus following mass. Burial at 2:30pm at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Wien, Mo.
Contributions: Charitable contribution suggested for St. Joseph Foundation, St. Mary’s  in Wien, or charity of your choice.

Biography:

 

Gerard (Gary) Adler, 72, passed peacefully February 13, 2019 surrounded by family at Liberty Hospital, Liberty, Mo. Gary was born March 28, 1946 , first born of six children to Harry and Mary Widmer Adler.  After graduating St. Joseph’s schools in Salisbury, He married the love of his life Joañne Domann of Wein, Mo on February 27, 1965 at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception, K.C. Together they had one son, Tabb.

 

Gary’s career was in commercial trucking. He was owner/ operator of Adler Trucking serving mainly KC metro. A longtime client said he was “the best of the best”. Gary took great strides and pride with his business and he was recognized for such.

Gary will be remembered as man of generosity and kindness. A family man. Man Quick to laugh and make others laugh. Lover of music and sports. Big ears. Bigger heart.

 

Gary was preceded in death by both parents, wife Joañne, ,sister Mary Ann,  brother Fred and four Domann in laws, Marion, Bonnie, Verna, and Bill, step-mother Hildred.  He is survived by son Tabb (Nancy) and grandchildren Rochelle, Justin (Nikki) and Trevor all of K.C. Great grandchildren Brooklyn and Lucas. Sister Kay(Jay) Boyd of Lake Ozark, Mo, Brother Jim of K.C.,sister Cindy of Mission, Ks. Sisters-in-law Libby of Clifton Hill, Mo, brothers-in-laws Steve and Jerry Lee Domann both of Missouri.  Many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
