Service Information: Services are 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury. Burial with military honors at Eastlawn Memory Garden in Salisbury.
Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Children's Wish Foundation, St. Jude Children's Hospital, or Larry's Warrior Foundation.

Biography:

Tony Benson Wescott, 71, of rural Keytesville, Missouri died Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at his home. He was born February 16, 1948 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Russell and Roberta (Johnson) Wescott. 

 

Tony was a 1966 graduate of McClure High School. In 1966 he joined the U.S. Air Force serving in the Philippines during the Vietnam War and he received an honorary discharge in 1972.

Tony married Glenna Brand on January 21, 1990, in Marshall, Missouri and she survives of the home.

 

 

Mr. Wescott worked as a supervisor for Associated Electric Company for 27 years before retiring to the farm, and he owned and operated the Satt-View Satellite for several years.

 

Tony belonged to the Rucker-McAllister American Legion Post # 7 in Brunswick, he was a life member of the VFW, he loved being with his family, his children and grandchildren, his home, being outdoors, all kinds of sports and enjoyed teaching young children about the proper safety and shooting techniques.

 

Survivors include his wife Glenna of the home, stepson, Jason Brand and his wife Ashly of Macon, daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Shane Herrin of Moberly, sister and brother-in-law, Jeanette and Bob Hawkins of St. Louis, 6 grandchildren, Archer, Stella and Gunner Brand, Jeremy, Ashley and Matthew Herrin, 2 great grandchildren, Chloe and Brayden Herrin, sister-in-law, Debbie Anderson of Ft. Madison, Ia; several nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Nola Rhyan Brand and a brother-in-law, Frank Spitznagel.
